Give even the tiniest sliver of possibility these can be reprinted, and this speculation never happens, at least with regards to the cards nobody plays or cares about. I totally get not wanting them as Masterpieces or in Masters sets the way Masters sets are structured now. VMA had 30 mythics compared to the standard 15 in a regular Masters set, 80 rares as supposed to the 53 rares in a regular Masters set, and it had 9 "special" cards, ie the Power 9, which were about as rare as a foil mythic, though I can't remember the rate you'd find a foil P9. I hate the reserve list and I resent Wizards for not amending some key format staples off of it. Press J to jump to the feed. It's a lot more trouble than it's worth to make money off of reserved list cards that don't see play. 421k members in the magicTCG community. I don't care about power 9 or even moat... Just for the love of god please take actual DUEL LANDS OFF! Personally, I hate the post-2009 RL, or whatever year it was where they made the most recent change. I don't have a problem with the concept of the RL in that I think it's reasonable to not want to reprint super powerful cards in Standard legal sets. It also bothers me that after changing the reserve list many, many times, Wizards took the stance of "This is what we really meant the whole time, and rather than just say what we actually mean this time, we are going to leave even more loopholes and just claim 'spirit of the reserve list' if anyone finds a solution to this problem in the future.". Make the set larger, though with a similar print run, meaning there'd be far less of each individual card, and the possibility of finding that super chase card is lower than it would be in a regular Masters set. Would it just open up a huge can of worms to create a format for legacy and/or EDH where reserved cards are not legal. If you are a resident of California, you have the right under the CCPA to opt out of the sale of personal information to third parties. The cards that were speculated recently are pure nonsense. The entire reason these buyouts happen is that it isn't at all possible to reprint these cards. Had they not made the changes they did almost 10 years ago, I feel like the issue wouldn't be anywhere near as bad as it is. They don't even need to reprint the cards, just the possibility is in itself a great price suppressor. TL;DR: Magic speculation is stupid. I hate the post-2009 RL, or whatever year it was where they made the most recent change.
